With all of the technology that is available some great tools can often be overlooked. I recently started using one program on all of my devices and don’t remember how I ever got along with out it, Pocket. This is a fantastic way to keep up with my reading list and not miss out on great reads when I happen across them while browsing the internet.
I use many resources to find great articles to read but sometimes when I am skimming through news feeds on Facebook, Feedly or even Twitter I always manage to come across great articles that I don’t have the time to read. I have started adding these articles to my Pocket. And then in the evening or morning when I am enjoying my personal time I am able to sit down and read these. I used to see great things, open it in a tab on my browser but eventually just close it because I was preoccupied and then forget about it. Pocket has really been a game changer.
Another great thing that I love about this app is all of the other programs that it works with. If I find something that I want to share I can quickly add it to Buffer or even save it in Evernote. And paired with IFTTT adding my go to things, like RSS feeds, are done automatically for me.
I also use this to keep up with my favorite blogs. I usually particpate in Linky Parties in the morning see tons of things that I want to read but am short of time and this is a great way to keep all of those organized as well. I quickly open the link, add to my Pocket with the Chrome Extenstion and it is ready for me when I am sitting on the couch winding down after the day.
What tools do you use to keep your reading list under control in this digital age? And where are your favorite resources to find great reads?
