I had first started with using a notebook and writing everything down. Until a few days ago when I realized that was a waste of time and paper. If I am already at my computer and I am participating in the same party on a regular basis why am searching through my Google Reader to find the link. First I created a table in Word but wasn’t too pleased with how it was working for me. For those of you that prefer to keep notebook I have included the free printable version here. I, however, wanted even more organization.
And then the” AH HA” moment occurred. A spreadsheet. I opened Excel and created a 3 column sheet. Titled each column: Linky Party, Host Website, and Blog Post Linked.
I also that each day should be its own sheet in the book to minimize cluttered look. And that way I could also copy and paste the table from the previous week and just fill in what I need to.
And when I find a new party to join in it is a snap to copy and paste the url it to my list. And just as easy to delete one that I don’t take part in one week.
Now I have a quick link to each party I like to participate in so I can go back during the week and check out shares that were posted well after mine. And I can plan out ahead of time what I will share so I can spend more time browsing though others than reliving my previous posts. I mean mommy time is extremely limited some days (or rather every day).
On a side note I found out why Google +1’s are better than Facebook Likes to bloggers. A +1 increases your SEO. Just a little tidbit. I have found myself utilizing this more often. Not as often as I am “Pinning” but that is an addiction. I should probably seek out my local Pintrest Anonymous Group.
